Senior Instrument & Control Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Instrument & Control Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing turbomachinery control systems and enhancing operational efficiency across our compressor and turbo assets. You will leverage your expertise to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Direct turbomachinery control system optimization using CCC, Siemens, PLC, and DCS.
- Conduct performance monitoring through PI AF Dashboards to enhance efficiency and stability.
- Perform structured fault-finding and root cause analysis for operational issues.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Process, and Electrical teams during investigations and commissioning activities.
- Specify rotating equipment controls and interlocks to ensure operational readiness.
Requirements
- BSc or B Eng degree in Electrical/Electronic/Control Engineering.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in controls engineering.
- Proficiency in coding/automation using Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Experience with API 612/617/618/619/670 standards.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to develop repeatable analytical methods.
Nice to Have
- Experience with PI AF Dashboard models and visualizations.
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (ECSA).
- Familiarity with project management principles.
