Senior Industrial Designer - Remote Flexibility

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to join our team at Applied Intuition. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the field of physical AI. As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will have the flexibility to work remotely while also collaborating with a talented team in our Sunnyvale office.

What You'll Do

• Develop design themes for hardware concepts from sketch to production.
• Build and iterate physical prototypes to inform product architecture with a focus on human factors.
• Work quickly to ship new features in 5-week release cycles.
• Create and communicate design intent through sketches, CAD, prototypes, and design documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Business Development teams to tackle complex engineering challenges.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Industrial Design.
• Proven experience prototyping and developing hardware for software in fast-paced environments.
• Strong understanding of human factors and user-centered design principles.
• Ability to navigate complex engineering constraints to create user-friendly designs.
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction or a related design field.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a startup environment.
• Experience with Robotics, Drones, or related technologies.
