Senior Golang Backend Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Golang Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team at adjoe, a leading mobile ad platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely while contributing to cutting-edge advertising solutions that enhance our app partners' businesses. As a Senior Golang Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing our backend systems, which are primarily built in Go, and ensuring their seamless integration with our frontend technologies.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain our backend services written in Go, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Work with a microservice architecture to facilitate communication with our frontend applications based on TypeScript and React.
• Utilize event buses like Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis for reliable asynchronous microservice communication.
• Collaborate with a community of developers, sharing knowledge and participating in peer code reviews.
• Optimize API response times for complex queries, working with large datasets.
• Support partners by providing raw or aggregated data tailored to their business needs, emphasizing data transparency.
• Collaborate with our Data Science team to enhance machine learning algorithms that deliver targeted ads to users.
• Aggregate billions of daily API events in our Kafka and Kinesis streams for rapid querying.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Golang in a production environment, preferably with distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of databases and familiarity with Regular Expressions, HTTP protocol, and Encoding.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), Docker, and serverless infrastructure is a plus.
• Ability to quickly engage with new and complex topics, demonstrating a passion for technology.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS, is advantageous.
• Experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark or Athena.
