Senior Procurement Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team remotely. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to enhance the Procurement discipline within McDermott. As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and apply your knowledge to solve complex problems, ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Supply Chain function within the Project Management Team, collaborating with stakeholders to meet project milestones.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project requirements and minimize exposure to risks.
• Create a Project Procurement execution plan, including purchasing, logistics, and communication goals.
• Act as a single point of contact for clients regarding all supply chain and procurement needs.
• Identify problems promptly and develop corrective action plans to resolve issues effectively.
• Participate in dispute resolution and ensure effective status reporting to project teams.
• Maintain auditable procurement files and ensure adherence to project schedules.
• Oversee project supply chain management activities and ensure deliverable quality meets customer expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Professional Procurement qualification is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement packages under tight timelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret customer needs.
• Familiarity with database software such as SPMAT or Oracle is a plus.

• Experience in the Engineering or Manufacturing sectors.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Ability to coach and guide less experienced colleagues.
