Senior ETRM Platform Product Owner - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior ETRM Platform Product Owner to join our team remotely. In this role, you will take full ownership of our ETRM platform, driving its strategy and ensuring it meets the needs of our trading, operations, risk, and finance teams. This is a unique opportunity to influence how energy trading platforms are built and evolved.

What You'll Do

• Own the ETRM platform strategy and target operating model across trading, operations, risk, and finance.
• Lead the ETRM selection process with a focus on APIs, data models, and integration maturity.
• Drive vendor and system integrator engagement, including structured demos and technical proof-of-capability.
• Define and enforce clear system-of-record principles, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Manage scope boundaries and backlog decisions, determining what belongs in the ETRM versus third-party tools.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to define integration contracts and observability standards.
• Lead scenario-based UAT, defect triage, and go-live readiness efforts.
• Establish strong controls from day one, focusing on permissions, auditability, and operational resilience.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with energy trading systems or ETRMs, demonstrating true ownership responsibility.
• Hands-on experience supporting natural gas trading and physical workflows end-to-end.
• Understanding of gas scheduling and logistics concepts, including nominations and storage.
• Proven ability to make clear boundary decisions between ETRM and external services.
• Technical literacy to evaluate APIs, data models, and integration patterns.
• Experience in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to reduce operational toil.
• Comfortable debugging Terraform and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
• Track record of leading datacenter-to-cloud migrations or hybrid infrastructure transitions.
