Senior Director, R&D & Capital Strategy Lead - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Director, R&D & Capital Strategy Lead to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in overseeing Pfizer’s global R&D workplace and capital portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment across multiple sites. As a trusted executive partner, you will drive sustainability, resilience, and risk management while supporting approximately 12,000 R&D colleagues.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of the Strategic Master Plan for R&D workplaces, ensuring alignment with evolving enterprise priorities.
• Provide executive oversight for a diverse portfolio of workplace services, including facility operations and capital project delivery.
• Drive financial performance across OPEX and CAPEX portfolios, enhancing site reliability and service quality.
• Establish and maintain trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders across various functions.
• Ensure uninterrupted operations of critical R&D infrastructure, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Champion transformational efficiency initiatives that enhance colleague experience and operational effectiveness.
• Lead a high-performing organization, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a relevant technical field.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in facilities operations and capital management.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to influence and motivate others.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office and facilities management systems.

Nice to Have

• MBA preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical management.
