Senior DevOps Engineer - Transition to Team Lead

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at N-iX. This remote Senior DevOps Engineer position offers a unique opportunity to transition into a team lead role while working on impactful projects for industry leaders and Fortune 500 companies.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure services for over 30 development teams.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.
• Implement observability solutions with InfluxDB, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.
• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalable and secure applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth infrastructure operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues effectively.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a platform engineering or similar role.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Golang or Python.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong skills in Linux and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to Have

• In-depth knowledge of networking and TCP/IP.
• Experience with observability platforms like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or similar tools.
