Senior DevOps Engineer - Banking Project (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team for a banking project. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to work on an on-premise IT infrastructure, where your expertise in Kubernetes and related technologies will be invaluable. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and contribute to the overall success of the project.

What You'll Do

• Organize interactions and monitor vendor and partner commitments to the bank.
• Identify and analyze system issues to ensure operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions to enhance system performance.
• Participate in project activities to implement new infrastructure components.
• Manage the implementation process and coordinate with adjacent departments to resolve business process disruptions.
• Support the Kubernetes cluster and ensure its optimal functioning.
• Engage in the deployment of new infrastructure components into systems (e.g., MinIO, Redis).
• Update infrastructure components to utilize the latest software versions with maximum security levels.

Requirements

• Proven experience in deploying Kubernetes clusters (using kubeadm or Ansible scripts, e.g., Kubespray).
• Strong administration skills of Kubernetes clusters, including knowledge of components and abstractions.
• Experience in deploying and configuring various infrastructure components both in clusters and on VMs using Ansible and Terraform.
• Familiarity with components such as Kafka, Istio, VictoriaMetrics, ELK, Hashicorp Vault, ArgoCD, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in SQL and database administration skills.
• Strong Linux administration skills and knowledge of DevOps practices.
• Experience with Ansible and writing scripts for server configuration.

Nice to Have

• Experience with monitoring systems for server clusters.
• Familiarity with additional CNI plugins (Calico, Cillium, Flannel).
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services.
