About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and help power the data behind our games. This Senior Data Engineer remote role is all about building reliable, scalable data solutions that enable teams across Product, Marketing, and Game Development to make smarter, faster decisions. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end data pipelines and models, working with modern cloud technologies to deliver high-quality, well-structured data products. Along the way, you’ll also play a key role in improving how we work as a team, mentoring others, and contributing to the evolution of our data platform.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain robust batch and streaming data pipelines for player, product, and monetization data.
• Develop scalable, analytics-ready data models with clear structure, ownership, and documentation.
• Write clean, production-level code using SQL and languages like Python, Scala, or Java, with strong testing and deployment practices.
• Manage and improve orchestration, CI/CD, and infrastructure using tools like Airflow, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and cost efficiency through monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Managers, Analysts, and Data Scientists to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and security best practices are applied across all data workflows.
• Mentor other engineers and share best practices to strengthen the wider data community.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Data Engineering, ideally 5+ years working with cloud-based data platforms.
• Proven ability to design and build scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python, and distributed processing tools like Spark.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data quality, and performance optimization at scale.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and contributing to team growth.
• Passion for data, problem-solving, and building systems that make a real impact.
