Senior Chassis Design Engineer - Motorsports Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Chassis Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Global Edge Group. This Senior Chassis Design Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the motorsports industry, where your expertise will contribute to the design and development of high-performance race cars.

What You'll Do

• Provide design engineering expertise for race car vehicle design, including creating and analyzing design concepts, CAD models, and drawings.
• Plan and complete assigned engineering projects while mentoring junior engineers.
• Utilize extensive CAD software for modeling race car components, ensuring compliance with engineering principles.
• Evaluate and implement design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
• Coordinate design activities related to project development, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and test issues.
• Conduct product design reviews to ensure adherence to company objectives and specifications.
• Communicate effectively within a team-oriented environment, applying engineering theories to design drawings.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables, demonstrating strong project management skills.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of direct design experience in motorsport vehicles and systems.
• Extensive experience with CAD software modeling of race car components.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of race car chassis and mechanical systems.
• Proficient with workstation hardware and CAD software to create models, drawings, and design calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs of vehicle components.

Nice to Have

• Parametric modeling experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of raw material specifications and codes.
• Experience with prototype machining, castings, and treatment processes.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year.
