Senior Backend Engineer - Remote Opportunity in Hospitality Tech

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer remote to join our innovative team at Fruition Group. You will play a crucial role in building scalable products that enhance guest experiences, all while working remotely.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance backend systems that support real-time hospitality operations.
• Take ownership of key features throughout the software development lifecycle, from technical design to deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and data science, to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions.
• Utilize modern technologies such as Python, Django, Cloud Firestore, BigQuery, and Elasticsearch to create scalable and reliable software.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance system architecture and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to maintain engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years' experience in backend software development within a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python (or similar modern backend language) and experience building RESTful APIs or microservices.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
• Passion for building customer-centric products and working collaboratively to solve complex technical challenges.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Elasticsearch and BigQuery.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
