About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at Playson, a leading iGaming supplier recognized worldwide. As a Senior Backend Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in driving the development of our cutting-edge platform that processes billions of financial transactions daily. This role is pivotal as we strive for the best availability and lowest possible latency in all transaction processing operations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement new features for our micro-service-based platform.
  • Collaborate with a distributed team to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and availability.
  • Conduct code and architectural reviews to maintain high standards.
  • Proactively propose solutions and improvements to enhance system performance.

Requirements

  • Solid experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Experience in distributed systems and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
  • Proficient in writing end-to-end and unit tests.
  • Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP) and Kubernetes.
