Senior Atlassian Platform Owner - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Atlassian Platform Owner to join our team remotely. In this role, you will lead the administration and evolution of our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem, including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management. You will assess the current state of our systems and implement necessary changes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

What You'll Do

• Own and redesign the Atlassian Cloud architecture to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
• Lead full-lifecycle administration of Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Tempo.
• Audit and redesign Jira architecture, including workflows, permission models, and overall maintainability.
• Identify and eliminate configuration/process debt to improve performance and usability.
• Establish governance standards, including change control and documentation practices.
• Improve the Jira Service Management setup, including portal structure and request types.
• Build a scalable support model for approximately 200 users, including intake processes and SLAs.
• Implement automation and integrations using REST APIs and middleware patterns.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Business Systems or Enterprise Tools with proven end-to-end ownership.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Atlassian Cloud products, including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management.
• Strong architectural mindset with the ability to design maintainable systems at scale.
• Proven experience in building advanced automation solutions.
• Strong integration skills with REST APIs and authentication patterns.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Strong documentation discipline and ability to create operational runbooks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Jira Product Discovery.
• Familiarity with identity lifecycle management and SSO.
• Experience in collaborating with BI functions for reporting and insights.
