Senior API Software Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior API Software Engineer to join our team at Zinnia. This Senior API Software Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative enterprise solutions that simplify the insurance process for millions. As a key member of our team, you will help shape the future of our customer identity and access management system.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement API policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance our services.
• Develop enterprise API solutions using an industry-leading API platform (Kong).
• Guide junior developers to ensure timely and accurate implementation of enterprise API solutions.
• Integrate the enterprise CIAM solution for all internal and external APIs.
• Collaborate with the CIAM team to extend capabilities that serve our clients effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of software development experience using TypeScript frameworks like NestJS.
• Proficiency in implementing OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect protocols.
• Experience in building industry-standard APIs and API governance.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, and S3.
• Working knowledge of common DevOps tasks including CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
