Senior Android Developer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Yonder Media Mobile is seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our innovative team. This Senior Android Developer remote position offers the opportunity to work on our flagship app, Global YO, which provides affordable connectivity solutions worldwide. What You'll Do

• Develop exciting features using Kotlin for our mobile applications.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards.
• Engage in technical discussions with team leads to propose solutions and optimal architectural decisions.
• Communicate effectively with Product and Project Managers, as well as UI/UX designers.
• Participate in Scrum rituals and provide accurate estimates for project timelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Android development.
• Strong understanding of Android Design Patterns and Google’s Design Guidelines.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Experience with the ReactiveX framework (RxJava or RxKotlin).
• Familiarity with dependency injection libraries such as Dagger, Kodein, or Koin is a plus.
• Experience in building Android media applications, particularly with Google ExoPlayer, is highly desirable.
• Upper-intermediate level of English is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Git for version control.
• Knowledge of caching strategies and multitasking on Android.
• Previous experience in agile development environments.
