Reporting & Analytics Analyst - Remote Opportunity in Alberta

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting & Analytics Analyst to join the Government of Alberta. This position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely across Alberta while contributing to the Ministry of Technology and Innovation's mission of driving economic growth through data excellence.

What You'll Do

• Support enterprise data visualization and reporting using Cloudera Data Visualization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and develop dashboards.
• Utilize Oracle SQL and JavaScript to enhance dashboard interactivity and functionality.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends and anomalies using various data sources.
• Design and maintain comprehensive reports that are accurate and user-friendly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Proficient in SQL, with experience in relational and non-relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Cloudera, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a client-driven mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-enabled tools for data analysis and visualization.
• Knowledge of data governance standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with the Government of Alberta's operations and processes.
