About the Role
We are looking for a Remote Temporary Payroll Tax Accountant to join Angi's team. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing, reconciling, and correcting payroll tax filings across the Company's U.S. entities. As a Remote Temporary Payroll Tax Accountant, you will ensure every payroll tax dollar is accurately submitted while resolving variances and filing amendments with federal, state, and local agencies. This position is remote and requires candidates to work up to 40 hours per week.
What You'll Do
- Audit payroll tax filings to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- File amendments as necessary to correct payroll tax submissions.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Payroll to enhance payroll processes.
- Provide support in payroll tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in payroll accounting or tax accounting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Certification in payroll or tax accounting.
- Familiarity with multi-state payroll tax regulations.
