Remote Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Senior DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team at Alpaca. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the configuration, provisioning, and management of large cloud-hosted systems and microservices. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world while contributing to our mission of democratizing financial services.

What You'll Do

• Design, maintain, and expand our infrastructure defined in code (IaC).
• Oversee systems and resources for alerting, logging, backups, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Help Alpaca scale by defining the direction of our infrastructure architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build fault-tolerant and resilient microservices that adhere to best practices.
• Improve the performance and durability of our CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop automated tooling to provision on-demand Kubernetes namespaces.
• Be on-call to assist with engineering projects that require timely intervention.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role.
• Significant experience with Kubernetes at scale.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and services.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
