About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Reimbursement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will focus on patient billing and reimbursement processes, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service. As a Remote Reimbursement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing insurance verification, authorization, and claims management, contributing to the overall efficiency of our healthcare services.

What You'll Do

• Manage patient billing and reimbursement processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct insurance verification and authorization for patient services.
• Handle medical collections and resolve billing issues efficiently.
• Utilize Caretend and AthenaCollector software for data management and reporting.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely payment of claims.
• Analyze data related to reimbursement and patient billing to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding their inquiries and billing concerns.
• Assist in the development of best practices for the reimbursement process.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in reimbursement, billing, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance verification, and claims management.
• Experience with Caretend, AthenaCollector, or similar software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with Medicare and Worker’s Compensation claims is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SQL and data modeling.
• Knowledge of revenue cycle management.
• Previous experience in a remote work environment.
