Remote Purchasing Agent - Supply Chain Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes, vendor negotiations, and ensuring the timely fulfillment of sales orders. As a Remote Purchasing Agent, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain management and enhancing operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Manage the procurement process, including sourcing and purchasing materials and supplies.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable pricing and quality.
• Utilize ERP systems, including NetSuite and SAP, to track orders and manage inventory levels.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely shipping and delivery of products.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to orders.
• Work closely with the sales team to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role.
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly NetSuite and SAP.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HubSpot.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Suite Script 2.X and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of claims management and distribution processes.
• Certification in supply chain management or procurement.
