Radiologic Technologist - Remote FlexStaff Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our FlexStaff team remotely. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will operate x-ray and auxiliary equipment to produce diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This remote opportunity allows you to contribute to patient care from the comfort of your home while maintaining high standards of radiologic practice.
What You'll Do
- Prepare patients for radiologic exams, alleviating anxiety by explaining procedures in layman's terms.
- Ensure consent forms are obtained when necessary and perform various x-ray exams according to established protocols.
- Position patients correctly for radiographs, ensuring compliance with departmental standard operating procedures.
- Adjust x-ray equipment and operate controls to achieve optimal exposure for imaging.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures and report any abnormalities promptly to the Radiologist.
- Process and maintain exposed images, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Utilize film markers to accurately identify images and maintain required records.
- Enter exam data onto daily logs and complete tracking steps for each examination.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in New York State and/or Connecticut.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience performing radiologic exams.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
