Quality Inspector - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join MDC Precision, a leader in high-quality product delivery across various sectors including aerospace and life sciences. This Quality Inspector role offers the opportunity to work remotely while ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision.

What You'll Do

• Assist in managing the Quality Management System (QMS) by performing a wide range of tasks within the Quality Department.
• Complete and submit Customer First Articles using both internal and external methods.
• Manage the calibration system to ensure all measurement equipment is approved for use.
• Drive Continuous Improvement efforts for products and processes utilizing 8D and other root cause analysis techniques.
• Conduct, document, and report inspection findings and results, monitoring corrective actions.
• Read and interpret specifications and blueprints of parts to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with project engineers to ensure schematics align with the final product.
• Utilize the ERP system and various databases to investigate, monitor, and document quality concerns.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a quality inspection role.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards is a plus.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical documents.
• Strong mathematical skills including probability, statistics, and geometry.
• Proficient in PC skills, particularly in navigating ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively present information to management.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment to promote process improvement.
• Experience in auditing and monitoring quality requirements according to company policies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with semiconductor customer FAIR requirements.
• Knowledge of quality assurance techniques and training staff.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
