About the Role

We are excited to offer a Property & Specialty Underwriting Summer Intern - Remote position at Arch Insurance Group. This internship provides students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry, specifically focusing on property and specialty underwriting while promoting professional skill development. This is an 8-week summer internship program designed to immerse you in the world of underwriting.

What You'll Do

• Participate in hands-on training with experienced underwriters to understand the intricacies of property and specialty underwriting.
• Engage in educational sessions that cover various aspects of property and specialty underwriting.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on group activities to foster teamwork and communication skills.
• Assist the underwriting team with research and information gathering to support underwriting decisions.
• Gain exposure to underwriting systems and processes, enhancing your understanding of the industry.
• Develop professional skills that will be beneficial in your future career.
• Work in a hybrid model: 4 days onsite in Morristown, NJ, and 1 day remote.
• Eligibility for select Arch benefits during your internship.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant program such as Insurance, Business, Finance, etc.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 to ensure academic excellence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred for data analysis tasks.
• A team player with collaborative skills to work effectively with others.
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to learn about the insurance industry.
• Current Junior student at the college level.

Nice to Have
