Product Owner - Remote Opportunity in Digital Services
About the Role
We're hiring a Product Owner to lead our Agile squad at Spark New Zealand. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will drive significant impact through your leadership. As a Product Owner, you will set a clear 12-month delivery roadmap and ensure that your squad delivers real results. This role is perfect for someone who is customer-focused and results-driven, ready to take on the challenges of the telecommunications and digital services industry.
What You'll Do
- Lead the squad in delivering work that achieves customer and commercial outcomes each quarter, aligning with a full-year plan.
- Initially focus on web development, working in an Agile environment towards targeted outcomes while fostering team engagement.
- Collaborate closely with peers in IT, Group Architecture, CX & UX/UI to translate the three-year website strategy into actionable plans.
- Plan and execute a 12-month delivery roadmap that supports the CX web strategy, ensuring effective implementation to achieve squad outcomes.
- Drive a performance mindset within your squad, taking a lead role in performance tracking and optimization.
- Prioritize the work your squad commits to delivering, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Act as a key stakeholder for wider business engagement, facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Develop systems and processes, including capacity management, to enhance squad effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, particularly in digital channels, eCommerce, or website development.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance customer value, business outcomes, and ROI in prioritization decisions.
- Ability to lead and influence in an Agile environment, fostering collaboration and engagement.
- Proven track record of delivering complex initiatives to predictable outcomes.
- Excellent analytical skills to track performance and derive insights from various sources.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills to effectively communicate with diverse teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance tracking tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and methodologies.
- Background in telecommunications or digital services.
