About the Role

We're hiring a Product Designer - Marketplace to join our team at Thumbtack. As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping user experiences for our home improvement app, which helps millions of users confidently care for their homes. This Product Designer remote position offers you the chance to work collaboratively with a talented team of designers, researchers, and engineers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.

What You'll Do

• Design customer-centric experiences that have measurable business impact.
• Collaborate closely with fellow designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, data scientists, and marketers to lead product visions and define strategies.
• Utilize research and qualitative data to guide design and development decisions.
• Develop a deep understanding of our customers and pros while focusing on key metrics.
• Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail and when to create low-fidelity sketches.
• Test, learn, and iterate; solve existing problems and discover new opportunities through experimentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall product design experience.
• A portfolio showcasing impactful projects that highlight your design process.
• Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills with a human-centric approach.
• Ability to balance high-quality craft with agility and speed to learning.
• A bias for action and understanding of how your work impacts users and the business.
• Experience designing and implementing customer experiences that have led to measurable growth results.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Expertise in prototyping, with experience creating interactive prototypes to test product concepts.
