About the Role

We're looking for a Product Design Manager - Payments/Capital (Remote) to lead our Payments and Capital teams at Lightspeed Commerce. In this pivotal role, you will drive high-impact outcomes on complex projects, focusing on team performance, execution, and process improvement.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of designers to deliver integrated, invisible, and instant payment experiences.
• Translate complex business objectives into actionable design solutions, identifying problems before they surface.
• Develop holistic design strategies grounded in quantitative and qualitative insights.
• Integrate AI and emerging technologies into design processes to enhance user experiences.
• Provide mentorship and establish clear growth paths for team members, fostering a high-performing culture.
• Manage project delivery, team workload, and backlogs, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and maintain a high bar for accountability and shared success.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a people management role within a design team.
• Foundational education in design-related fields (e.g., Bachelor of Design, Visual Arts).
• Experience designing financial services or payment experiences in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and data visualization skills.
• Fluency in English as a working language.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agile design sprint methodologies and tools such as Jira.
• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools like Figma and Miro.
