What You'll Do

• Assist the pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations, including processing prescriptions and managing patient information.
• Engage with customers to provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience, addressing their needs and resolving issues.
• Utilize pharmacy systems to accurately enter patient and drug information, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Coach and support pharmacy technicians and cashiers in their roles, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain inventory management by ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, ensuring the pharmacy is well-stocked.
• Contribute to the development of strong relationships with local healthcare providers to enhance pharmacy services.
• Complete training and maintain certification through the PTCB or ExCPT program, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, including processing claims and managing cash register transactions.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment, ideally in a pharmacy setting.
• Good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy systems.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members effectively.
• Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working with Walgreens or in a similar retail pharmacy environment.
• Knowledge of store inventory control and management.
• Experience in customer service roles, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
