About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Banker to join Valley Bank in a remote capacity. As a Personal Banker, you will provide exceptional customer service while engaging with clients to understand their financial needs. This role is crucial in helping customers navigate our bank's products and services, ensuring they receive the best possible solutions. You will play a key role in building trust and establishing long-lasting relationships with our customers.

What You'll Do

• Deliver outstanding customer service in alignment with Valley's mission statement.
• Engage customers with friendly and professional service while educating them on various bank products.
• Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions, including loans, checking, and savings accounts.
• Assist customers with online and mobile banking functionalities, promoting their use effectively.
• Participate in community events and support CRA initiatives to enhance our community presence.
• Maintain compliance with the Bank's Code of Conduct and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize technology such as Teller Scanning Equipment and Cash Recycling machines to enhance service efficiency.
• Act as a Vault Teller, managing branch cash and ensuring adequate currency for daily transactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in finance or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in banking or customer service roles.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with customers effectively.
• Knowledge of banking products and services, with a focus on customer education.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
• Proficient in using banking technology and software.
• Strong analytical skills to assess customer needs and recommend solutions.
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with banking regulations.
