Penetration Testing Coordinator - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Penetration Testing Coordinator to join our team remotely. In this role, you will oversee the planning, management, and orchestration of company-wide penetration tests and security audits. Your expertise will ensure that our security measures are robust and effective, making a significant impact on our overall security posture.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate all penetration testing activities, ensuring timely execution and alignment with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Track test progress, escalate delays, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Collect, review, and organize all relevant evidence, test results, reports, and technical artifacts.
- Ensure quality assurance of documentation, including completeness and adherence to internal standards.
- Manage follow-up actions on findings, prioritizing and tracking implementation statuses with regular reporting on vulnerability management.
- Support the development of processes, policies, and standards related to penetration testing and security assurance.
- Maintain and enhance central overviews, dashboards, and registers, such as test calendars and evidence registers.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing necessary evidence and structured communication.
- Conduct basic analysis of test results to assess risks and prepare actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience in penetration testing, security assurance, security auditing, or technical project/process management in IT security.
- Understanding of common attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and testing methodologies.
- Proficient in using Office and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ideally experience with ticketing or tracking systems.
- Structured, analytical, and process-oriented work style with a high quality standard.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, particularly with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated responsibility, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, DORA, BSI Basic Protection) is a plus.
- Fluent in German and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of advanced penetration testing tools and methodologies.
- Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CEH, OSCP).
