Join Vaughan Regional Medical Center as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in a remote capacity, where you will play a vital role in patient observation and care. As a Patient Care Technician, you will assist patients with daily activities, document care responses, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

What You'll Do

• Perform patient observation and document care responses accurately.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Provide basic nursing care, including positioning, lifting, and ambulating patients.
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for patients, focusing on hygiene and safety.
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
• Respond to patient call lights and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Patient Care Training program preferred.
• State Certified Nursing Assistant licensure preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and organize tasks efficiently.
• Healthcare experience preferred, but not mandatory.
