What You'll Do
- Assist in the daily production and cooking of all foods served in the restaurant.
- Follow safe food handling procedures to maintain health and safety standards.
- Prepare hot and cold food items according to established recipes and procedures.
- Set and re-stock mis en place on your station to ensure efficient service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation and surrounding areas.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to coordinate daily specials.
- Utilize kitchen equipment safely and effectively to prepare meals.
- Store, label, and rotate all food items to ensure freshness and quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of cooking experience in a medium to high-volume restaurant.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in operating basic kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of sautéing, broiling, frying, and preparing cold foods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Must possess a valid Maricopa County Food Handlers card.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
