About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Line Cook II to join our team at Eagles Buffet in Scottsdale, Arizona. As a Line Cook II, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that our guests receive high-quality meals in a timely manner. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while honing your culinary skills.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in the daily production and cooking of all foods served in the restaurant.
  • Follow safe food handling procedures to maintain health and safety standards.
  • Prepare hot and cold food items according to established recipes and procedures.
  • Set and re-stock mis en place on your station to ensure efficient service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation and surrounding areas.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to coordinate daily specials.
  • Utilize kitchen equipment safely and effectively to prepare meals.
  • Store, label, and rotate all food items to ensure freshness and quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of cooking experience in a medium to high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in operating basic kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of sautéing, broiling, frying, and preparing cold foods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Must possess a valid Maricopa County Food Handlers card.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
