About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Customer Advisor to join our team at B&Q in Speke, United Kingdom. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to engage with customers and help them improve their homes. As a Customer Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service and support, ensuring customers leave with the confidence and tools they need to create their ideal living spaces. This position is part-time, requiring 20 hours of work per week, with shifts available from Monday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM UK time.

What You'll Do

  • Provide expert advice to customers on home improvement projects, ensuring they feel inspired and confident.
  • Manage stock, set up displays, and maintain the store's appearance to create an inviting shopping environment.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions, enhancing their shopping experience.
  • Receive training in paint-mixing and timber cutting to better assist customers with their projects.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for home improvement.
  • Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and working methods.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus but not essential.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of home improvement products and services.
  • Experience in sales or stock management.
