About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join SWORD Defense Systems in Greenville, South Carolina. This Office Manager role is pivotal in ensuring smooth administrative operations within our defense manufacturing facility. You will oversee daily operations, support executive leadership, and maintain compliance with industry standards. This is a full-time position that requires a proactive approach to managing office functions and supporting mission-critical programs.
What You'll Do
- Oversee day-to-day office and factory administrative functions, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with company policies.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships while coordinating facility maintenance and safety protocols.
- Provide direct administrative support to senior executives, including calendar management, meeting preparation, and travel arrangements.
- Assist with HR-related activities, including onboarding, training coordination, and benefits administration.
- Monitor office-related expenses and budgets, processing invoices and maintaining supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and defense industry regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues and maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in office management or administrative coordination, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Experience managing supplies, vendors, budgets, and basic financial tracking.
Nice to Have
- Experience in defense contracting or quality-regulated environments such as AS9100 or ISO-certified operations.
- Familiarity with government contracting processes and facility operations in a production setting.
- Prior supervisory or team coordination experience.
