Network Engineer - On-Site Role with Relocation Support
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Network Engineer to join our dynamic team at Tachyon Security. This is a full-time on-site position where you will collaborate with a skilled group of developers, operations engineers, and IT professionals to design, optimize, and maintain a robust network infrastructure. As a Network Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network systems.
What You'll Do
- Ensure smooth operation of network infrastructure, resolving issues and maintaining optimal performance.
- Implement solutions to optimize and improve on-premise and cloud network systems and interconnects.
- Handle planned network maintenance activities.
- Participate in network infrastructure planning, capacity management, and procurement processes.
- Implement and maintain secure configuration standards and firewall policies in adherence to information security policies.
- Participate in internal security audits.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including data centers and service providers.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, inventory, and monitoring systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in core networking, with proficiency in designing, deploying, and operating enterprise and data center network environments.
- Strong proficiency in core networking technologies (LACP, STP, VLAN, MLAG, OSPF, BGP, IGMP, PIM).
- Experience with wide area networks, multicast routing, and security devices (firewalls).
- Proficiency in network services (SNMP/Telemetry, Syslog, NTP/PTP, TACACS+/RADIUS).
- Experience with Unix/Linux command line and networking stack.
- Hands-on experience with network automation frameworks and tools (Bash, Python, Ansible, NetBox).
- Knowledge of data center operations (cabling and optics standards, hardware installation requirements).
Nice to Have
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing virtual networks in AWS, Alibaba, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Arista or Cisco technologies/CLI.
