MLRO - Remote Compliance Leader at Binance

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MLRO - Remote Compliance Leader to join Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs that align with regional and international regulations. As a key player in our compliance team, you will ensure that our operations adhere to AML/CTF, KYC, and sanctions compliance standards, particularly in the MENA region.

What You'll Do

• Develop and oversee compliance programs that meet regulatory requirements, ensuring the organization’s adherence to AML/CTF and KYC regulations.
• Monitor and review internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage inquiries and reporting obligations.
• Coordinate with global compliance teams to align objectives and ensure consistent practices.
• Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and develop action plans.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters.
• Implement continuous improvements to the compliance program to adapt to evolving regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, AML/CTF, or regulatory affairs, particularly in the financial services sector.
• Extensive knowledge of MENA regulations including DFSA, FSRA, VARA, or CBB compliance standards.
• Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex information to stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to compliance risks.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Direct experience in crypto, fintech, or Web3 is mandatory.
