Middle Database Developer - Oracle to PostgreSQL Migration

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Middle Database Developer to join our remote team, focusing on the migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL. This role is perfect for individuals who are eager to take on the challenge of transforming legacy systems and making a significant impact on key business applications.

What You'll Do

• Conduct in-depth migration of Oracle packages, procedures, and functions into the PostgreSQL ecosystem.
• Design and create new stored procedures and functions while optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of our proprietary web platform based on PostgreSQL.
• Migrate business logic from Oracle Forms to a modern web application.
• Influence architectural decisions within a large, long-term project.

Requirements

• Commercial development experience in PL/SQL (Oracle) and a strong desire to dive deep into PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of the architectural differences between Oracle and PostgreSQL; migration experience and FinTech knowledge are significant advantages.
• Ability to work with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and query optimization.
• Willingness to work within a large project with clear deadlines and direct client contact.
• Systematic thinking and accountability for the complete cycle: from task to working solution.

• Experience in cloud database solutions.
