About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Duffel. This remote position offers you the chance to create the future of travel by simplifying systems and building tools that enhance the travel experience for millions. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will work on our core API, which powers millions of travel bookings.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop beautiful APIs that integrate with various travel providers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless developer experience.
• Maintain high standards for code quality and API design.
• Communicate effectively about your work and its impact on the business.
• Contribute to defining engineering standards and processes at Duffel.
• Work with technologies such as Elixir, Phoenix, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer with a focus on API design.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and best practices.
• Ability to think critically about technical tradeoffs and business impact.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience in the travel industry is a plus but not required.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with travel distribution systems.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of modern software development methodologies.
