Mid-Senior Front-End Software Engineer - Embedded Banking
About the Role
Join Swan as a Mid-Senior Front-End Software Engineer and be part of a transformative journey in embedded banking. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to a team that processes over €1.5 billion in monthly transactions. As a Front-End Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and refining the user experience of our platform, ensuring that developers and end-users alike love the banking features we provide.
What You'll Do
- Own features end-to-end across both the component library and internal interfaces, from technical design through production deployment and monitoring.
- Build and maintain reusable components that are intuitive, flexible, and maintainable for other developers.
- Write production-grade React, TypeScript, and GraphQL code that is clean, maintainable, and well-tested.
- Collaborate effectively across teams to solve complex problems spanning front-end, backend, and partner integrations.
- Monitor component usage and performance across partner implementations, creating meaningful dashboards and alerts.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of professional software development experience, particularly with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
- Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture patterns, including component composition and state management.
- Experience with testing strategies such as unit tests with Jest/Vitest and e2e testing with Playwright/Cypress.
- Comfortable with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Professional-level English communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with design systems or building component libraries from scratch.
- Familiarity with bundler tooling and CSS-in-JS solutions.
- Contributions to open-source component libraries or design systems.
