Mid-Senior DevOps Linux Systems Engineer - On-Premise Solutions

About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Senior DevOps Linux Systems Engineer to join our team. This role involves working on on-premise systems and cloud-based solutions, providing a unique opportunity to enhance your skills in a dynamic environment. As a DevOps Linux Systems Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in the operation and sustainment of multiple geospatial solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead system changes and improvements for on-premise and cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with government and contractor points of contact to troubleshoot and respond to security reports.
  • Proactively monitor operational systems and perform complex health checks.
  • Deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments.
  • Update critical databases with new data and maintain operational documentation.

Requirements

  • Top Secret Clearance (with ability to pass CI Poly upon hire).
  • DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher).
  • Typically requires a BS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s with 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in AWS/Cloud technologies and advanced Linux administration (RHEL 7 or higher).
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and knowledge of systems architecture.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ArcGIS/ESRI automation and deployments.
  • AWS Solutions Architect or Developer certifications.
  • Familiarity with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat).
