Maintenance Technician - Remote Position at LyondellBasell

What You'll Do

• Support and participate in the site’s safety programs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, compressors, and more.
• Conduct investigations to determine the root cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Lead or participate in reliability improvement teams to resolve maintenance and production issues.
• Assist in developing the yearly maintenance budget and program spending plans.
• Provide technical specifications for the design and inspection of mechanical equipment.
• Maintain site systems and procedures to implement corporate engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and technicians, providing training in mechanical equipment operation and repair.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of maintenance or reliability experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Knowledge of operating processes, equipment, and materials.
• Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Commitment to safety and ethical business practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve conflicts effectively.
• General knowledge of project management and root cause analysis.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance functions.
