About the Role

We are seeking a talented Lead UI/UX Designer to join our team at Virtuos. This Lead UI/UX Designer remote position will allow you to lead and mentor a dedicated team of designers while ensuring the highest quality in user interface and experience across multiple gaming projects. What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a pod of UI/UX designers across various gaming projects.
• Define and maintain UI/UX standards, workflows, and best practices to ensure consistency.
• Review and approve UI/UX designs for quality and usability, ensuring they meet player expectations.
• Collaborate with other department leads to integrate UI/UX into the overall game design.
• Communicate UI/UX intent clearly to internal teams and clients, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Ensure accessibility, readability, and scalability across projects, enhancing player experience.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and handoff processes to streamline project workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading or mentoring UI/UX designers in the gaming industry.
• Deep understanding of game UI/UX across multiple genres, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills to facilitate collaboration.
• Experience working in co-development or multi-project environments, demonstrating adaptability.
• Ability to balance creative quality with production constraints, ensuring timely delivery.
• Proficient knowledge of industry-standard UI/UX design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
• Familiarity with collaboration and handoff tools used in game development pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Experience with accessibility standards and best practices in game design.
• Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Previous experience in a multicultural team environment.
