Lead Product Designer - FinTech Focus

About the Role

We're seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our team at Dave, a growing FinTech company focused on providing accessible banking solutions. As a Lead Product Designer remote, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product offerings and enhancing user experiences for over 12 million members.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end design for new products and foundational features, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Conduct discovery work to identify key problems and opportunities, framing product direction early in the process.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Research, to define product strategy and success metrics.
• Develop clear design narratives that facilitate alignment and decision-making across teams.
• Mentor and guide other designers, raising the quality of design execution and thinking within the team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience, preferably in FinTech or similar consumer product environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to take products from concept to launch.
• Expertise in mobile app design with a strong visual design sensibility.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing financial products with ongoing member relationships.
• Exposure to products serving gig workers or individuals with non-traditional income.
