About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer to join our team at Themis, where you will play a crucial role in shaping our customer-facing portal. This Lead Frontend Engineer remote position allows you to work from anywhere in Canada while collaborating with some of the largest Fintechs and financial companies globally. Your expertise in UI and UX will help us create beautiful software that simplifies governance for organizations.

What You'll Do

• Architect and develop our customer-facing portal using React, ensuring a responsive and clean user experience.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to gather requirements and implement features that meet customer needs.
• Write clean, maintainable code and document your work for future developers.
• Utilize testing frameworks to ensure high-quality code and user satisfaction.
• Embrace a technology generalist approach, adapting to various challenges as they arise.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a history of building responsive user experiences.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in building SaaS platforms is a plus.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and SQL databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience in a startup environment, showcasing your adaptability and innovative thinking.
