L2 DevOps Engineer - Remote Position at OpenFX

About the Role

We're hiring an L2 DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team at OpenFX. As an L2 DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and operability of our production services. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to our mission of revolutionizing cross-border payment systems.

What You'll Do

• Own the reliability and operability of production services, ensuring seamless performance.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for safe and efficient deployments.
• Define and enhance observability across metrics, logs, and alerts to improve system performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response efforts to address production issues.
• Identify and reduce operational risks through automation and proactive measures.
• Collaborate with various teams to translate system requirements into effective solutions.
• Improve reliability metrics such as availability and incident frequency.

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of experience operating production systems.
• Strong fundamentals in Linux, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with containerized workloads in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Experience designing monitoring and alerting systems for operational efficiency.
• Proven experience handling production incidents effectively.
• Ability to clearly explain operational decisions and processes.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
