IPM Specialist - Remote Opportunity in Cannabis Industry

About the Role

We are seeking an IPM Specialist remote to join our team at Verano. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the cannabis industry, focusing on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices. You will play a crucial role in maintaining plant health and ensuring compliance with regulations while working remotely.

What You'll Do

• Mix and apply pesticides, fungicides, and other pest control agents according to product labels and facility SOPs.
• Document all applications and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Ensure proper calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of application equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding application schedules and safety protocols.
• Monitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws.
• Conduct plant health assessments to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.
• Utilize Biotrack / Seed to sale software for streamlined project management and inventorying.
• Ensure strict adherence to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocols.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with Biotrack software is preferred.
• Knowledge of plant health and sampling techniques is preferred.
• Ability to safely climb, squat, bend, twist, kneel and stand for at least 8 hours per day.
• Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years of experience in a regulated production facility.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plant structure and horticulture preferred.
