Human Resources Generalist - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist - Remote to join our team at EPS Learning. As a leading K–12 supplemental literacy and math curriculum company, we are committed to addressing critical educational challenges and fostering equity in public schools. This Human Resources Generalist remote position plays a vital role in supporting our HR operations, with a focus on payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Manage bi-weekly payroll processing using ADP, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Review time and attendance data, addressing discrepancies with managers or employees.
  • Maintain payroll files and update employee records, including personal information and compensation changes.
  • Generate payroll reports for HR and Finance teams as required.
  • Oversee annual open enrollment, status changes, new hire, and termination processes for benefits programs.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, escalating complex matters to HR leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws in HR processes.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding tasks, including eVerify and payroll forms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of direct human resources and payroll experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles, payroll processes, and employment regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with ADP or similar HRIS, payroll systems, and/or benefits portals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Interest in professional HR development (e.g., working toward SHRM-CP or similar certification).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with compliance reports or audits, such as the annual 401(k) plan audit.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
