About the Role

We are seeking a Group Leader of Utilities to join our team at Hyundai America Technical Center. This full-time position is based in Montgomery, Alabama, and focuses on supervising maintenance team members in various manufacturing and site areas. As a Group Leader of Utilities, you will oversee mechanical and electrical functions, ensuring that corrective, scheduled, and preventative maintenance activities are performed efficiently on utility equipment.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of multiple team members engaged in the maintenance of utility and facility equipment.
  • Establish and maintain effective maintenance procedures, including predictive and preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor work processes to ensure compliance with maintenance standards and safety procedures.
  • Plan work schedules to minimize production downtime related to equipment operation.
  • Utilize independent judgment to assign and distribute work among team members based on their skills and availability.
  • Implement corrective actions in accordance with HMMA policy and ensure team performance meets expectations.
  • Participate in hiring, promotions, and evaluations of team members.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or technical degree in a related field is desired.
  • 1-5 years of job-related experience is preferred; 5-10 years of maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, is required.
  • Ability to undertake occasional travel, both domestic and foreign.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Business Management Systems (BMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
