About the Role

We are looking for a Freelance News Self-Publisher (Movies & TV) - Remote to join our dynamic team at Valnet Freelance. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging news content focused on movies and television. This is a paid freelance position that allows you to work remotely while contributing to the entertainment media landscape.

What You'll Do

• Self-publish news articles daily across movie and television verticals.
• Monitor trending news cycles, including casting announcements and celebrity updates.
• Ensure timely publication of content aligned with SEO goals.
• Coordinate with editors and writers for consistent coverage.
• Contribute to news ideation and scheduling.
• Follow editorial and formatting guidelines.
• Work available weekday mornings, ideally from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in digital journalism or online publishing.
• Ability to write and publish accurate news content on tight deadlines.
• Solid understanding of entertainment media and pop culture trends.
• Familiarity with SEO and CMS tools.
• Knowledge of AP Style and adherence to standards.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
