Field Process Engineer 2 - Remote Support Role

About the Role

Join Lam Research as a Field Process Engineer 2, where you'll provide remote support to our customers while ensuring the highest standards of service and operational excellence. This role focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction through expert knowledge of our equipment and processes, making a significant impact on their productivity and performance.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate closely with the Account team and customers to understand their technology roadmaps and business challenges.
• Identify opportunities for Lam to add value and execute strategies to enhance customer engagement.
• Perform startup of “capacity add” Lam systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Design and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to evaluate new installations and hardware modifications.
• Collect and analyze data from experiments, generating comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop new processes tailored to customer applications, ensuring optimal performance and satisfaction.
• Maintain strong customer relations during startup and troubleshooting phases, representing Lam professionally.
• Ensure all assigned equipment is maintained in good working condition and comply with safety protocols.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and systematic approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers.
• Ability to work in a Fab environment and perform standby duties as required.
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and support short-term overseas assignments.

Nice to Have

• In-depth knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Foundational skills in analytical thinking and decision-making processes.
