Field Construction Coordinator - Mining Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Construction Coordinator to join our team at Hellas Gold. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in the mining industry, focusing on the Kassandra Mines in Chalkidiki, Greece. As a Field Construction Coordinator remote, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction activities and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Act as the company’s daily presence on site, interfacing with EPCM or contractor supervisors.
• Monitor works for compliance with scope, design intent, and construction quality standards.
• Ensure safe access, coordination between trades, and resolution of space or sequencing issues.
• Identify and escalate site conflicts, RFIs, and non-conformances (NCRs) promptly to the Project Manager.
• Maintain a daily site log of progress, incidents, deviations, and open items.
• Support the closeout of punch lists and field verification activities.
• Validate physical progress against planned milestones and schedules.
• Support progress claim verification through visual inspections and quantities tracking.

Requirements

• Technical Education Institute (ΤΕΙ) degree in Civil, Mechanical, Infrastructure or related field.
• 5–10 years of site-based experience in construction coordination, field engineering, or supervision.
• Experience in an owner’s team or EPCM support role is a plus.
• Strong safety culture and practical approach to issue resolution.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Site experience with structural, civil, mechanical, or electrical scopes, preferably in mining or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, method statements, and QA/QC procedures.
• Understanding of project controls principles, including progress measurement and variation logging.
